Mary-Lawrence Yanniello

Senior Accountant

Mary-Lawrence Yanniello has been involved in government accounting for 37 years, commencing her career in 1987 and holding positions at several companies. She transitioned from some roles due to acquisitions resulting in job duplication, while others were opportunities for advancement. Mary-Lawrence has found fulfillment in most of her professional experiences.

She obtained her bachelor’s degree from George Mason University in December 2021 while concurrently maintaining employment.

Mary-Lawrence’s interests extend to animal rescue, with her weekends often dedicated to transporting rescue dogs and cats. Engaged in what she describes as an underground railroad for animals, she frequently embarks on journeys spanning approximately 2 hours each way. Her efforts have involved transporting anywhere from a single dog to a mother dog and her 10 nursing puppies. Additionally, Mary-Lawrence fosters dogs and has personally adopted one of her former foster dogs, colloquially referred to as a “foster fail.” In addition to her dogs, she shares her home with two cats.
 
As a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Mary-Lawrence cherishes her family connections.
